VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION SUNDAY  – September 15th

Our volunteers are priceless! Help us celebrate their many accomplishments during Sunday services on Sunday, September 15th. Join us for a presentation and cake during the first service and following the second service to say “Thank You!” to all of our volunteers.

ANNUAL BAZAAR

When canning this summer, please put aside some jars for our fall bazaar on Nov. 2nd.

Jams, jellies, pickles, chili sauce, relish, etc, are all needed.

Our bazaar on Nov. 2nd needs lots of items to sell. Your donations are welcome and very much appreciated. Please consider over the summer what you can contribute.

This event is one of our largest fundraisers for the mission and ministries of St James. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Song of the Grand Dinner & Show Sunday, Sept 22nd
Tickets are going like hot-cakes; so we need volunteers to help with the family style roast beef dinner and show; everything from set-up, food preparation and serving to logistics.

The musicians and actors also need help with set-up and tear own/loading of their equipment following the show.

Assistance will be required as follows:

Saturday, September 21st in the morning in the kitchen for prep work, and the afternoon for setting up tables, and loading equipment into the sanctuary.

Sunday, September 22nd in the afternoon for setting tables, and finalizing food prep and late afternoon/evening for ticket-takers, kitchen help, hostess/hosts, servers, dishwashers, and ushers.

Sunday after the show for tear down and loading of show equipment and clean-up of the hall.

All help will be greatly appreciated! Please volunteer on the sign-up sheet at worship or contact Wendy in the church office to offer your assistance.

Thank You!

COMING SOON – PROJECT 101

A special offering will be started in September to help offset the over $30,000 operating deficit St James has accumulated in 2019. This donation request is based on people selecting envelopes numbered 1 to 101 and donating the amount based on the number selected.

For those who remember, this is similar to a special offering collected in 2017. New this time though is a prize will be awarded to a randomly selected Project 101 offering envelope donor. If all the Project 101 offering envelopes are returned, St. James will collect just over $5000.
